Resident Participation in Abbey Road Community Housing Ltd
Why do you need to get involved?
Resident participation is about tenants and leaseholders taking part in decision making processes and influencing decisions that your Co-operative take about how to spend the maintenance and management allowances received from Camden Council on housing services provision and priorities on improvement. It is a two-way process involving the sharing of information ideas and power by telling the management committee what you want to see on the estate. Its aim is to improve the standard of service being provided.
Consultations:
As part of our commitment to residents’ involvement, we provide regular opportunities for all residents to influence decision making. We regularly organise general meetings to explain and take your votes on major decisions. We also create opportunities at our Annual General Meetings for you to get involved. We will continue to consult you about your general views on the housing services provided by the Co-operative through tenant satisfaction surveys. We use this information to plan improvements to our service. We will also consult you whenever we are planning repairs or improvements that will affect your home or block.
Fun days:
Our residents’ fun days and other functions are also used to promote involvement and embrace the diversity on our estate. Pictures below are some of our success story on our fun days.
